Obituary: Daniel Bell
It is with deep regret and sorrow that I have to inform the readers that the writer, sociologist and the emeritus professor of social science at Harvard University, Daniel Bell passed away on 25 January 2011, at age 91. I was shocked when I was writing my research proposal an hour before and read the sad news from Twitter, just before I had gone through some lines of his book “The Cultural Contradictions of Capitalism”. I try to remember which year I have started to read his word, a movie ticket can tell - 2001.
